Project meeting in Liceo Aristotele

Rome, 13th – 18th November 2011

13th November, Sunday
Arrival of the delegations according to flight timetables.
Accomodation in Hotel (rooms have already been assigned)
Teachers are invited to purchase bus cards for their delegation at Eur Fermi underground station.
Free afternoon, possibility to have a first look at the city. (From underground station Eur Fermi take direction Colosseo).
19.30 Briefing with Leaders in hotel hall to check program.

20.30 Evening program: Meeting with Italian students at Mc Donald next to Eur Fermi station.

14th November, Monday
Day Topic: A morning in an Italian school

08.15 Meeting of all the delegations in hotel with project coordinator and trip to school by bus or underground.
Arrival at school and tour of the school premises.
09.20 Welcome speech in Aula Magna
Schools’ presentations on powerpoint (10 minutes each school)
Groups photos and videos
11.00 Students in national GROUPS prepare posters on their nations (bring pictures, postcards etc) working with accompanying teachers Leaders have briefing on students’ tasks and project organization 11.15 Break: cakes and drinks offered by hosting students.
11.45 Posters are displayed and explained by GROUPS. Students are divided in international TEAMS.
12.30 Italian students go to class, foreign students see a video in English about Rome in Language Lab.
Leaders continue briefing on project organization
13.20 Free lunch in the school area.
14.30 Visit to the city centre by public transport: Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain, Baroque churches Illustrated material prepared by Italian school.
17.30 End of activities, return to hotel. Time to do the shopping and organize dinner in hotel.

15th November, Tuesday
Day Topic: Excursion day: joined activity

8.30 Meeting at Eur Fermi underground for all students and teachers.
Visit to Ostia Antica by public transport, Bring lunch and drink (perfectly kept Roman city, with forum, shops and theatre. Illustrated materail offered by Italian school)
Possible walk and football match along the sea front.
17.00 Return to Rome and end of activities. Return to hotel. Time to do the shopping and organize dinner in hotel.

16th November, Wednesday
Day Topic: teaching and learning in different European countries

08.30 Italian students have classes up to 10.20.
Meanwhile TEAMS work on Web-quest on Rome and write their E- Journal in computer lab.
09.20 Leaders’ meeting – Topic 1: comparing systems of education in Europe, possibly with the help of power-point presentations.
10.20 Leader’s Meeting – Topic 2: Teaching foreign languages: aims and methodology. (open to Aristotele language teachers )
10.20 All students in TEAMS prepare questionnaires on young people’s lives across Europe
12.20 Foreign students leave to visit the archaeological area Colosseum, Roman Forum, cod. 753482. Campidoglio, Trajan’s Markets. Italian students go to class up to 14.20.
17.00 End of activities, return to hotel

19.30 Evening program: family dinner. All foreign students in couples are hosted by Italian families. Teachers are free. Return to hotel by 23.00

17th November, Thursday
Day Topic: looking back and looking forward: evaluation and plan of further steps of the project

08.20 Italian students have classes up to 10.20
09.00 Foreign TEAMS work in Computer Lab: completion of Web-quest, E- Journals, Questionnaire.
Leaders’ meeting: setting timetable and objectives for next meeting in Poland
10.20 All Students in TEAMS complete and present questionnaires.
Evaluation questionnaires on project meeting.
Closing ceremony, Certificates of Attendance
Karaoke singing in Italian “Grazie Roma”.
13.00 Foreign Delegations go to S. Peter’s; Piazza Navona, Castel S. Angelo and walk along the Tevere
17.00 End of activities, return to hotel.

20.00 Evening programme: Social Dinner at O’ Masto Pizzeria offered by Liceo Aristotele. Traditional cakes offered by Italian mothers. Meeting in Hotel at 19.00.

18th November, Friday
Day Topic: social activities

09.20 Sightseeing or shopping according to flight timetables. Possibility to organize sport activities in the afternoon.
